Short Biography
Honggang Yu is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida, under the supervision of Prof. Shuo Wang. From 2018 to 2021, he was a research scholar in the Security in Silicon Lab (SSL), working closely with Prof. Yier Jin. His research interests lie at the intersection of deep learning, cybersecurity, and digital hardware design, with a focus on developing intelligent methods to identify and mitigate cybersecurity threats targeting hardware vulnerabilities. In Fall 2025, he will join the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Miami University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor.
